Hello, I’m Joni Leimkuehler a self-taught mixed media artist creating colorful, one-of-a-kind artwork through glass and ceramic collage, watercolor and oil pastel painting.
I split my time with my husband, Craig, between Encinitas, California and New Orleans, Louisiana. Both places inspire my creative expression from coastal beauty to vibrant culture layered textures and joyful color.

My glass and ceramic collage process begins with searching thrift shops, yard sales and donation stores for vases, plates, glasses and embellishments. Each piece is cut, arranged and layered into a new composition, then finished with a two-part epoxy resin for a glossy, durable surface that enhances the colors and textures.
Every finished piece is unique shaped by imagination, available materials and the beauty of transformation.

Because glass and ceramic collage materials depend on availability, exact colors may vary. A 50% deposit is requested to begin, with the remaining balance due upon completion.
If you have a cherished piece of heirloom china, vase, plate or any pottery piece that is cracked or chipped, I can transform it into a unique keepsake. By repurposing these sentimental items, I will create a beautiful collage art piece just for you, allowing their memories to live on in a new and meaningful way.
